Learning Hair Colour

Learning to color hair can be a process that involves several steps. We use a 3 step process

  1. Get trained: The first step in learning to color hair is to get trained. Look for a reputable beauty school or cosmetology program that offers classes in hair coloring. These classes will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to color hair safely and effectively.
  2. Practice on mannequin heads: Once you have completed your training, it is important to practice your skills on mannequin heads. This will allow you to experiment with different techniques and products without risking damage to real hair.
  3. Assist experienced stylists: Another way to learn is by assisting experienced stylists in a salon. This will give you the opportunity to see firsthand how professional stylists color hair and learn from their experience.
  4. Keep learning: The world of hair coloring is always evolving, so it’s important to stay current with the latest trends, techniques and products. You can do this by attending workshops, classes, and trade shows, reading industry publications and watching online tutorials.

It’s important to note that hair coloring can cause damage to the hair and scalp if not done properly, so it’s crucial to follow the instructions on the product, patch test before using it and always prioritize safety for you and your client.
